According to astrologers, Eid-ul-Fitr this year in Pakistan will most likely be observed on Tuesday, May 3, as the Shawwal moon may not be visible anywhere in the country on the evening of Ramazan 29 (Sunday, May 1).
Moonsighting of Ramadan and Shawal in Pakistan is observed by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai's committee and the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. The Populzai's committee is known for making the sighting of the moon controversial In Pakistan, the people of Peshawar mostly follow him, while the rest of the country follows Ruet-e-Hilal.
EID Holidays in Pakistan
Eid-ul-Fitr: The government of Pakistan had announced a four-day holiday from May 2 to 5, 2022.
In the Middle East, there are nine days of holidays on May 1 and end on May 5 and all ministeries will resume their work on 8th May.

The end of Ramadan coincides with Eid-Al-Fitr and before preparing for EID prayer, most people eat a date, sheer khurma (or doodh seviyan), or phirni instead of breakfast in Pakistan and in some other countries.
