Asanas and Women

Yoga is said to be inhaling of future and exhaling of past. As a person, we cannot change our past, but we can make our future better. Until and unless you are fit and fine, you are the richest people in the world. It is better to love yourself and take care of your soul and body.

The yoga asanas are a combination of specific poses, or we can call
them specific body positions. In Asana, Sana means “seat” or
“sitting style” in the Sanskrit language. An Asana is a body posture
that includes reclining, standing, inverted, twisting, and balancing poses, and
meditation poses.

Yoga is good for our bodies, especially it is best for women as
they face more problems and Asana can bring positive vibes to their bodies. Yoga
has 84 Asana with multiple variations. Most people’s favorite yoga Asana may
be the final pose, “corpse pose,” in which you simply lie down and
breathe, or people who love to do more extensive yoga might love some other
poses. Yoga students positioned their bodies in a specific way, they feel their
bodies steady and comfortable while breathing. Some people believe that Asana
has spiritual and bodily benefits for all human beings.

There are many benefits of Asana for women, according to American
Psychological Association, “Women are more likely to
report physical and emotional symptoms of stress than men, such as having had a
headache (41 percent vs. 30 percent), having felt as though they could cry (44
percent vs. 15 percent), or having had an upset stomach or indigestion (32
percent vs. 21 percent), and it is a report of one past month.” So, it is one of
the best solutions to increase flexibility, strength, and balance, lower
stress and stress-related disorders, asthma, and diabetes.

We can observe the importance of Asana in literature and
films, advertising, yoga, and ancient artworks of Buddha, and it is mostly practiced
in all religion and some religions use it to cure diseases. The Asana helped
people to achieve samadhi, a state of contemplative consciousness, and some
people believe that Asana helped people to remove toxic present in their
bodies. The Asana practices can be considered as a meticulous technique of
freeing up the spine, limbs, and respiration so that people can spend
extended amounts of time in a seated position. It means it brings limb
stability, health, and lightness, mental balance and minimizes mental
turbulence agility, balance, endurance, and “excellent vitality

Women are considered close to nature as compared to men
and Asana is also more related to nature because it has different poses and
postures, for this reason, Asana poses are named after plants, insects,
fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and quadrupeds. The lion position,
Simhasana, for example, is based on the legend of Narasimha, who is half-man,
half-lion, and a Vishnu avatar, as recorded in the Bhagavata Purana takes on
the appearance of various species, from the lowest to the highest. Asana had the
spiritual function of exploring the conscious and unconscious minds of the
people.

So, women who are fighting multiple problems related to
their physical and mental health must have to try Asana. Everything feels beautiful
as long as you are physically and mentally fit. More power to my all lovely
girls.
