Why and How Noor Muqadam was killed by Jaffer?
Noor Muqaddam came from a well-known Pakistani family, and her father was a former diplomat. Both families (Jaffers and Muqammads) were family-friendly prior to Noor’s death. Zahir Jaffer murdered Noor Muqaddam when she denied a marriage proposal, and in retaliation, Zahir not only raped but also beheaded her. Noor attempted to flee the house several times, but she was dragged back into Zahir’s home. The Gardner and the Batman were also involved in this case because they were aware of Noor’s situation but refused to let her go. Zahir ordered his men to prevent anyone from entering the residence and to prevent Noor from fleeing.
Zahir was flying back to America on April 19th, and he planned to kill Noor because he wanted to get vengeance on Noor for rejecting his proposal. Before leaving, he called Noor and desired to meet with her before departing. Noor went to see him because they had a friendly relationship and she had no idea what he was up to. According to CCTV footages, a cab arrived, Zahir and Noor left for the airport in that car, but they unexpectedly returned to his residence, because Zahir was waiting for the right moment to carry out his plan.
He captivated Noor for two days at his home, after which she was sexually assaulted by him, murdered, beheaded, and played with her head in his room. When Noor’s family called him to inquire about Noor’s whereabouts, he declined, claiming that Noor was not with him. After the murder, Zahir called his father and informed him of the incident, and his father assured him not to worry, that his servants would dispose of the victim’s body.
Post Mortem Report:
Noor Mukadam was murdered at 7 p.m. on July 20, 2021, and her disfigured body was sent to the hospital for a post-mortem around 12:10 a.m. Her body was postmortem examined 12 hours after her assassination, at 9 a.m. On July 21, 2021. Multiple scars and wounds were found on her body, as well as a sexual attempt, according to the Punjab Forensic Agency’s report. A handgun, knuckleduster, knife, blood-stained clothes, laptop, cigarette butts, and cell phones were recovered from Zahir’s residence by Islamabad police. The weapons retrieved from his home were examined, and it was discovered that they had Zahir’s fingerprints on them as well. The perpetrator admitted to torturing, rapping, murdering, and abducting her.
Court Actions:
As soon as the story popped up on social and mainstream media, the Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice, and an inquiry committee was formed to look into it. It took 4 months and 8 days to solve this case. Zahir was arrested at his home in Islamabad on April 20th. Zahir’s parents were arrested on April 25th for allegedly supporting their son in the savage murder. The names of all suspects in Noor’s murder case were added to the ECL list on August 11th. On August 21, the suspect’s physical remand was prolonged, and he was moved to Adyala Prison in Rawalpindi. On September 11th, Zahir Jaffer, the case’s main suspect, said that he murdered and beheaded Noor because she refused to accept his proposal.
Zahir Jaffer was sentenced to death with fines on February 24, 2022, by District and Session Court Judge Atta Rabbani, while his two accused family guards (gardener and security guard), Muhammad Iftikhar and Jan Muhammad, were sentenced to ten years in prison with fines. Zahir’s parents, cook, and therapists, on the other hand, were exonerated of the case’s criminal charges. (There were numerous twists and deferrals in the middle of the case when Zahir Jaffer accepted that he murdered Noor because she refused his marriage proposal, but afterward modified his remarks with the help of his counsel.
Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer attempted to file a petition claiming that Noor arrived at Zahir’s residence of her own will and planned to attend a drug party with some of his pals. He went on to say that Zahir declined her invitation to a party at his house because he was alone in the house and his family was in Karachi for Eid celebrations. Jaffer’s family and lawyer tried to prove that Zahir was mentally ill, mistakenly he committed such a crime.
Finally, thanks to the honorable court and other security agencies and individuals that made the correct decision.
